Proposal
The aim of the project is to streamline the distribution
of information related to the project by consolidating
information from three existing websites into one
central location, eastrail.org, which is managed by
Eastrail Partners. The site will be an informational
hub, featuring an interactive trail map, project
resources, and information on Eastrail Partners to
satisfy the needs of the target audience which includes
trail users, donors, legislators, and partners.

Challenges & Opportunities
The current situation involves three websites containing
information related to the Eastrail project which are
competing in search engines, causing confusion among
users. To resolve this issue, it is proposed to
consolidate the information from these three websites
into a single website, eastrail.org, which is managed by
Eastrail Partners.
- We will direct all traffic from the three sites in
question to the primary domain.
- Redirects will be put in place for all existing URLs
to send the user to the most closely related content
on the new site. This will maintain a good
experience for end users, and will ensure that
existing organic traffic and page rank from the
current sites will be transferred to the new site.
